Location: Hanover, MD  (On-site)

Security Requirement: US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph required

Ring0 Technologies (“Ring Zero”) is hiring a motivated Software Test Engineer who is passionate about Cybersecurity. This position will be integrated into a cutting-edge Cybersecurity team and will be responsible for for supporting complex and challenging virtual machine testing environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Component and System Integration Level testing on complex software applications

• Support a large virtual machine test environment used by multiple customers

• Assume responsibility for maintenance, upgrades and monitoring of lab equipment running Windows and Linux

• Promptly handle configuration, software, and hardware requirements generated by customers

Required work experience:

• Strong scripting experience in Python, Perl, or other scripting language

• 5+ years experience supporting of software development activities

• 10 years experience utilizing Microsoft Windows and Unix-like operating systems

• 10 years experience working with networking protocols such as TCP, UDP, IP, HTTP, DHCP, and DNS

• 10 years experience performing testing in support of software development

Desired work experience:

• Experienced with VMWare Workstation and/or ESXi

• Experienced with Network File System storage

• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• Experience in the technology industry

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to understand highly technical information
